Ricardo García

Jesús Ricardo García Ortiz, Bronze Founder, was born in Mexico City on October 20, 1950. He studied a Bachelor’s degree in Economics at IPN (National Polytechnic Institute) and a Master’s and Doctorate in Public Administration at the Institute of Higher Studies in Public Administration.

He participated in the following works, among others.

1985 15 sculptures for the third section of Chapultepec.
1986 Monumental sculpture for the Municipality of Tultitlán in the State of Mexico.
1987 Monumental sculpture for the Municipality of Reynosa, Tamaulipas.
1988 Monumental sculpture for the Municipality of Progreso, Tamaulipas.
1995 Monumental sculpture for the Autonomous University of Cuernavaca in the state of Morelos.
1998 Two monumental sculptures for the Dolores Olmedo Patiño Museum.

Honors.

1995 First place in the contest for the monument to childhood organized by the DDF in Mexico City and placed in the third section of Chapultepec.
1997 Monumental sculpture titled “The Guardians of the Future” placed on the Costera Miguel Alemán in Acapulco, Guerrero.
1997 Monumental sculpture titled “The Victors of the Desert” placed at Hotel Villa Bejar in Cuernavaca, Morelos.
